Common Bond

We have a common bond
A silver lining that binds each heart
It unites us in the end and teaches a brand new start

We've each experienced heartbreak
Like a rushing rivers flow
We've felt such tears of sorrow
And we became afraid to just let go

Overwhelmed by such grief
That reveal great aches in the soul
Wondering why love hurts so much
As we loose our sense of whole.

Our sunny days become cloudy
Our nights bring on a chill
We prau for a bright tomorrow
As we try to just get over the hill

We try to stay busy
Busy enough to forget our pain
And put that smile upon our face
And wonder if we're insane

We understand each other
Without ever saying a word
And with one small touch
We know that we were heard

I'm grateful you have a loving family
In whom we can rely
I'm happy you have someone
To hold you when you cry

I'm grateful to the Lord
That in HIS love we can depend
And I pray for each of you daily
That your hearts will truly mend

Although our lives have changed
And the pain will some what subside so they say
I'm truly grateful for this GONE TOO SOON GROUP
With hugs and candles and support

This thread that binds our hearts

the miracle of friendship

when I've had one of those days
you know what I mean
so I sit back and relax
and turn on my screen.

I'll talk to my friend
who know just what to say
to make my stresses go
and my troubles fade away.

My friend you're always there for me
whenever I feel blue
and though we've never met before
I know our friendship its true.

And although we haven't been friends for long

Mothers Day?

This day should be a day of love,
of prezzies and good wishes.
With hugs galore, theres smiles all round,
through gentle 'Mothers kisses'

Filled with love & appreciation,
- a day thats like no other.
but whats the point of Mothers Day
if you have got no Mother??

No bouqets & no chocolates
no luxuries for her skin.
No way to text her sweet words,
or cards to put your feelings in.

No one to go to Church with,
to get our daffodils off the priest
No one to sit and chat with
or eat my Sunday feast.

Nowhere to go, no one to take
for a little drink, (or three!)
Who'll worry what Im up to....
& offer to mind my kids for me?

Instead of this, theres cemetaries,
memories and prayers...
an Angel in Heaven wanting me
to know how much she cares.

She's at peace with her loved ones
where theres no more stress or fear,
- so i guess i know one lucky mum
who got her Mothers Day wish this year.
